D&C Learn and Play Academy is seeking experienced, dependable, and highly engaged childcare professionals to join our team. We are specifically looking for teachers who have hands-on experience working in a licensed childcare setting and understand what it takes to safely and confidently manage a classroom. This position is ideal for someone who can walk into a classroom, learn our center's expectations, and take ownership of their room while still working as part of a team. What We're Looking For The right candidate should be able to: Maintain active visual supervision at all times Confidently manage a classroom and daily routine Keep children safe, engaged, comfortable, and cared for Recognize and respond appropriately to children's individual needs Communicate professionally with parents, coworkers, and management Accurately document incidents, injuries, meals, naps, activities, and other required information Know what is happening in the classroom and clearly communicate incidents when they occur Follow licensing requirements and center policies consistently Prepare and carry out age-appropriate learning activities Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom Work effectively with a co-teacher and support other classrooms when needed Take initiative and handle routine classroom needs without constant direction Receive feedback professionally and apply it Experience & Qualifications Previous experience working in a licensed childcare center is strongly preferred. We are especially interested in candidates with experience working with infants, toddlers, preschool, or Pre-K children. Master Teacher applicants must meet the qualifications required for the Master Teacher position and demonstrate the ability to lead a classroom, support curriculum implementation, maintain required documentation, and model strong classroom practices. Candidates should be comfortable with all aspects of childcare, including diapering, feeding, comforting children, managing transitions, redirecting behaviors, cleaning, outdoor play, and remaining actively engaged throughout the day.
