Little Timbers Child Care is looking for a dependable, nurturing, and experienced Lead Toddler Teacher to join our team! Role:

As our Lead Toddler Teacher, you'll take the lead in creating a positive, structured, and engaging day for our toddler classroom. This includes maintaining classroom routines, planning age-appropriate activities, supporting social-emotional development, communicating with families, and working closely with the rest of our teaching team. We're looking for someone who can confidently lead a classroom while maintaining a calm, warm, and respectful approach with children—even during challenging moments. We'd love to find someone who is: Warm, patient, playful, and genuinely enjoys toddlers Reliable, punctual, and consistent Comfortable taking initiative and leading a classroom Able to communicate professionally with parents and coworkers Positive and solutions-oriented Comfortable setting appropriate boundaries without yelling, shaming, or speaking harshly to children Attentive and actively engaged with children throughout the day Able to work collaboratively and receive feedback professionally Passionate about creating a safe and emotionally supportive environment for young children Responsibilities include: Leading the daily toddler classroom routine Planning and facilitating developmentally appropriate activities and play Supporting meals, diapering/toileting, transitions, and nap time Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe classroom Providing positive guidance and helping children navigate big emotions Documenting and communicating important updates to families Building strong, professional relationships with children, families, and coworkers Following all Little Timbers policies and Oregon childcare licensing requirements

Qualifications:

Previous experience working with toddlers in a childcare, preschool, or similar setting is strongly preferred. Applicants must also be able to meet Oregon childcare licensing and training requirements for the position. We're especially interested in finding someone who wants to become a meaningful, long-term part of our little program—not someone who is simply looking for their next job.
