KinderCare is seeking an After School Teacher for our program at St. Paul Catholic Church. In this role, you will create a safe, nurturing, and faith-supportive environment for school-age children. You'll plan and lead engaging activities, provide homework help, and support social and emotional development. Working closely with families and church staff, you will uphold KinderCare's standards for safety, inclusion, and high-quality care while fostering curiosity, respect, and positive behavior in every child. Responsibilities Supervise and engage children in after-school programs and activities Provide homework help and academic support for school-age children Plan and deliver age-appropriate, enriching lessons and games Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and church staff Support children's social, emotional, and spiritual development in a faith-based setting Follow all safety, health, and childcare regulations and procedures Document attendance, incidents, and child progress as required Required Skills Classroom management Lesson and activity planning Child supervision Homework support/tutoring Behavior management Parent and guardian communication Basic first aid and safety Recordkeeping and documentation Conflict resolution Time management
