This is a Preschool For All Classroom. High Quality Curriculum is provided for you as well as continual training. Small class size ratios. Each preschool classroom has 3 teachers: A Lead Teacher, a CoTeacher, and an Assistant Teacher. Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated, reliable and enthusiastic long term Preschool Co-Teacher to join our team at Little Professors Preschool in Gresham, Oregon, and support our lead teacher in delivering exceptional early education. In this collaborative role, you will assist in creating a positive, structured classroom where young children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Key Responsibilities Partner closely with the lead/co teacher to implement and deliver our structured academic curriculum in a developmentally appropriate way. Manage classroom behavior using positive guidance techniques to promote a respectful, safe, and supportive learning environment. Plan and lead engaging daily activities, including group lessons, free play, and smooth transitions. Design and create creative art projects, hands-on crafts, and thematic activities that align with curriculum goals and spark children's imagination. Teach and facilitate lessons to small and large groups, supporting individual learning needs and developmental milestones. Assist the lead/co teacher with classroom setup, material preparation, record-keeping, parent communication, and daily routines (e.g., meals, naps, outdoor time). Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children at all times, following Oregon licensing regulations and school policies. Contribute to a warm, team-oriented classroom atmosphere that builds strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues. Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of experience teaching in a licensed preschool classroom (required). Passion for early childhood education and working with young children (typically ages 2-5, preschool/pre-k level). Strong understanding of positive behavior management, child development, and age-appropriate teaching strategies. Creative mindset with experience planning activities and creating art projects. Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to collaborate effectively with lead teachers and staff. High school diploma or equivalent required; CDA credential, associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, or related coursework preferred. Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Must pass background checks, fingerprinting, and health screening as required by Oregon state licensing.
