In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster developmental growth, social skills, and a love for learning in children from infancy through preschool age. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and guiding children through routines and transitions. Engage children in developmental activities that enhance their creativity, problem-solving skills, and language acquisition. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences to foster strong partnerships. Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures and mandated reporting laws for any concerns or incidents. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration. Qualifications Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices. Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required or obtainable upon hire. Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is a plus. Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration. Ability to manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and classroom management techniques. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child safety regulations is essential.
