Staff:
All members of the staff of the Grace Kids Christian Preschool should meet the following basic criteria: A. Desire to assist in developing an effective ministry to children and their parents. B. Lovingly nurture and carefully teach the children involved in the preschool. C. Agree with the statement of faith of Grace Baptist Church and committed to an evangelical lifestyle D. Be committed and able to present the Gospel to the children in exciting and developmentally appropriate ways. E. Be committed to sharing Biblical truths and the love of Christ with children and families through words and actions. F. Work and communicate well with other staff and parents. G. Maintain current training and certification in CPR, First Aid, Universal Precautions, and Mandatory Reporting. H. Able to perform activities that pertain to the job ie. be able to lift 40 pounds and stand on feet for an extended period.
Responsibilities of Lead Teacher:
A. Planning developmentally appropriate activities for the preschool children. These include, but are not limited to, language, Bible stories, art and fine motor, music, and centers. B. Create, coordinate, and design a positive and warm learning environment. C. Incorporate Christian principles into daily activities and communicate a positive and loving Christian lifestyle to children and parents. D. Work cooperatively with the Director in planning and implementing special activities and programs. These may include, but are not limited to, back-to-school night, parent orientation, Christmas program, spring music program, and theme events. E. Supervise any associates that will assist in teaching the children. F. Fulfill any other teaching duties as assigned by the Director. G. Ensure the preschool is always safe and clean as directed by the Universal Precautions Class and the State of Oregon regulations. H. Be aware of and implement State of Oregon regulations on the playground, classroom, and during snack and bathroom times. I.. Meet and maintain the necessary licensing requirements for continuing education. J. Assist in cleaning up at the end of the day. K. Take any needs, concerns, problems, and ideas directly to the Director, who will pass on to the Pastor if needed. L. Attend routine staff and teacher/director meetings. M. Be in attendance for up to two weeks prior to the opening of school in the fall for room set-up, decoration, and staff training and up to one full day after school closes in the spring for clean-up and planning for the next school year. N. Communicate regularly with the parents concerning their child's progress. In addition, observe, assess, prepare, and conduct two parent-teacher conferences a year or as needed.

$22/hr, 12 hrs/wk (Tu-Th, 8:30am-12:30pm)
