Float Teacher Infants/Toddlers/Preschool
Job Description
Bethany Athletic Club's new childcare center Bkids, seeks a Float Teacher to join the Bkids team! The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising, nurturing, and caring for chidden from ages 6 weeks-5 years old. This position will primarily support the Infants/Toddlers, and help with closing the Preschool each day
Schedules Available:
Infant/Wobbler Float:
8:15 a.m.-5:15 p.m.
Infant/Wobbler Float:
2:00-5:30 p.m.
Toddler/Preschool Float:
2:00-5:30 p.m
Pay:
$19.00 - $19.50
Shift:
Part-Time, with opportunities for additional hours
Main Responsibilities:
Provide afternoon classroom support in our Infant and Wobbler classrooms. Maintain required teacher-to-child ratios and provide coverage as staffing needs change throughout the afternoon. Support diapering, feeding, bottles, naps, transitions, and other daily care routines. Engage children in age-appropriate play, sensory experiences, gross motor activities, and positive teacher-child interactions. Assist lead teachers with classroom organization, cleaning, sanitizing, and end-of-day closing responsibilities. Communicate professionally with teachers, families, and administrative staff. Follow all BKids policies, licensing requirements, health and safety procedures, and classroom routines. Provide additional classroom coverage when teachers are absent or on vacation. Opportunity for additional hours and substitute shifts based on availability and program needs. Must be dependable, flexible, patient, nurturing, and comfortable working with infants and young toddlers. Dependable part-time employees may be considered for permanent full-time positions as positions become available.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old. Must meet Oregon Child Care Licensing Division requirements for the position. Must be enrolled in or eligible for enrollment in the Central Background Registry. Previous childcare experience preferred. Must complete required CPR/First Aid and Oregon child care health and safety trainings. For Teacher-qualified positions, applicants must meet one of Oregon's approved education, Registry, credential, or qualifying experience pathways. Language Requirement All team members must have the basic ability to use computer/smart phone applications for training and company system purposes. Employees must also be able to comprehend written documents such as work orders, safety rules, instructions, policies, and procedures. Also required is the ability of employees to speak and communicate effectively with clients, coworkers and management.
