The Assistant Director would be responsible for maintaining staff to child ratios, scheduling, day to day operations, some lead teacher break responsibilities as needed, preparing food as needed, maintaining our nature based philosophy.
More responsibilities include:
Knowledge of state licensing regulations and early childhood education best practices. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and engage effectively with parents. Foster positive relationships with parents through effective communication and involvement in the center's activities. Organize and participate in parent-teacher conferences and events. Provide leadership, guidance, and support to child care staff. Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development. Assist in the recruitment and hiring process for new staff members. Implement and enforce safety and security protocols to safeguard the well-being of children and staff. Conduct regular safety drills and assessments. Bachelor's degree in a ECE related field desired, and experience managing adults for at least 1 year is also a must.
