Responsibilities Develop and implement creative, age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, early intervention strategies, and Montessori methods where applicable. Foster a nurturing classroom environment that supports toddler care, preschool teaching, and early childhood education best practices. Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques to promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being. Conduct ongoing child development instruction to support literacy education, math skills, physical education activities, and overall developmental milestones. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental needs to ensure collaborative support. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and progress reports in compliance with mandated reporting laws. Ensure safety by adhering to first aid and CPR protocols while supervising children during activities both indoors and outdoors. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in a nursery, daycare, preschool, or early childhood education setting. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies. Familiarity with curriculum development for early learners including literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and Montessori methods. Experience with special education needs and early intervention programs is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Certification in first aid and CPR is required or obtainable upon hire. Demonstrated ability to plan engaging lessons through lesson planning expertise tailored for young children's learning styles. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations. Ability to work collaboratively within a team dedicated to early childhood education excellence.
