Wonder Garden is a vibrant afternoon program dedicated to preschoolers (ages 3 and 4) and kindergarteners. Designed to offer a beautifully structured play atmosphere, Wonder Garden bridges the gap between lunch, learning, and play time. Our daily rhythm includes lunchtime, rest time, creative art projects, open-ended socialization, and daily outdoor exploration. We believe in fostering motor skill development, community, and a deep connection to the environment. Position Overview We are seeking a warm, energetic, and dependable Early Childhood Teacher for our Wonder Garden program. In this role, you will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where young children can thrive socially, emotionally, and physically. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily flow of the program, from lunchtime supervision to outdoor adventures. Key Responsibilities

Daily Program Leadership:

Facilitate the structured afternoon rhythm, ensuring smooth transitions between lunch, activities, and pickup.

Creative Engagement:

Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, including art projects, drawing, and imaginative play.

Outdoor Exploration:

Supervise and engage with children during daily outdoor time, encouraging motor skill development and a connection with nature.

Social & Emotional Support:

Foster a positive, inclusive community where children learn to interact, share, and connect with their peers.

Safety & Supervision:

Maintain visual supervision of all children at all times (indoors and outdoors), ensuring all safety protocols are met.

Communication:

Greet parents and guardians warmly during dismissal and provide brief, positive updates on their child's afternoon. Qualifications & Skills

Experience:

Previous experience working with preschool and/or kindergarten-aged children (ages 3-6) in a school, camp, or daycare setting preferred.

Play:

A strong understanding of the importance of structured play and outdoor education in early childhood development.

Attributes:

Patient, enthusiastic, reliable, and possesses excellent communication skills.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to actively engage with children outdoors in various weather conditions, bend, lift, and move quickly if needed.

Requirements:

Must pass all required background checks and fingerprints. First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) is a plus.
