Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Child Care Assistant to join our caring team! In this role, you will support the daily care and development of young children by assisting with classroom activities, supervising children, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education. Responsibilities Assist with supervising children during playtime, meals, naps, and learning activities to ensure their safety and well-being. Support classroom management by helping organize activities that promote childhood development and social skills. Follow all safety protocols, including first aid and CPR procedures, to respond promptly to emergencies or minor injuries. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns. Help implement educational programs focused on child development instruction and early childhood education principles. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that encourages learning and exploration. Adhere to mandated reporting laws by recognizing signs of abuse or neglect and reporting appropriately. Skills Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar settings. Knowledge of childhood development stages and age-appropriate activities for infants through preschoolers. Familiarity with classroom experience, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies a plus. Certification in first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, or related safety training required. Training available through facility. Strong communication skills for parent interaction and teamwork within the daycare setting. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude in a lively environment.

Pay:

$16.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 40.0 per week
