Job Description
Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with toddlers. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development of young children through play-based learning and structured activities. The teacher will be responsible for fostering a love of learning while ensuring the safety and well-being of each child. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that supports literacy, math, and physical education for toddlers. Create lesson plans that incorporate play-based learning, focusing on childhood development milestones. Manage classroom behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage good behavior. Provide individualized attention to each child, addressing their unique needs and fostering their emotional and social development. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns that may arise. Collaborate with other educators to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and learning across the curriculum. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education. Requirements High School Diploma or GED Documented proof of 2,500 hours working with children Ability to obtain required clearances Experience working with children aged 1-3 years is essential; prior preschool or daycare experience is highly desirable. Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and early intervention techniques. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles. Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies is a plus. Commitment to child welfare and creating an inclusive environment for all students. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred or must be obtained within the three months of employment.
