In this role, you will ensure a safe, nurturing, and engaging space for children to learn, play, and grow. You will coordinate classroom activities, supervise staff and children, and foster positive communication with parents and guardians. Your leadership will help create an enriching atmosphere that promotes childhood development and supports the well-being of every child in your care. Responsibilities Supervise daily classroom activities, ensuring they align with developmental goals and curriculum standards. Lead and support a team of childcare providers, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, and mandated reporting laws. Manage child supervision to guarantee safety and appropriate behavior management at all times. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns or updates. Maintain accurate records of attendance, incident reports, and developmental milestones for each child. Organize age-appropriate educational activities that promote early childhood education principles such as childhood development, preschool learning, and toddler care. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle behavior management effectively. Knowledge of child development instruction and experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable. Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, or related safety training is required or willing to obtain upon hire. Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and early childhood education best practices. Prior experience supervising staff or leading a childcare team is preferred.
