Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing daily activities aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning. Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and transitions to ensure safety and positive behavior management. Support individualized learning plans for children with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism or requiring additional behavioral support. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that promotes learning and safety by following educational compliance and regulation guidelines. Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones to foster strong home-school connections. Utilize educational technologies such as computers and interactive tools to enhance learning experiences. Collaborate with teaching staff to develop strategies for classroom management and behavior support that align with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) standards. Skills Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices. Experience working with children in classroom settings, including private school or Montessori environments preferred. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, parents, and colleagues. Knowledge of classroom behavior management techniques and behavior management strategies. Ability to supervise children effectively while ensuring safety at all times through child supervision skills. Familiarity with educational compliance regulations and understanding of special education needs. Proficiency in using computers and educational technologies to support teaching activities. First aid and CPR certification to ensure readiness for emergency situations. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism enhances your ability to support diverse learners. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for proofreading reports or documentation related to student progress.
