- Supervise class aides
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool-aged children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and structured activities
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Manage classroom behavior and promote positive discipline techniques
- Ensure the well-being and safety of all children in the classroom
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning environment
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom
Qualifications:
- Must be familiar with state regulations and PA Key standards
- Must be able to administer assessments on time at a star 4 standard
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques for young children
- Understanding of child welfare guidelines and regulations
- Familiarity with toddler care and early childhood education principles
- Proficiency in math concepts appropriate for preschoolers
- Experience working in a daycare or similar educational setting is required
