Our teachers are responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, and grow. Job Responsibilities Provide a safe, loving, and positive environment for all children. Supervise children at all times and maintain required staff-to-child ratios. Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons, activities, art projects, and learning experiences. Support children's social, emotional, physical, and academic development. Complete daily care routines, including meals, diapering/toileting, naps, and transitions as appropriate for the age group. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom. Communicate professionally and positively with families, coworkers, and administration. Provide families with updates about their child's day, development, and classroom activities. Follow all SeedPod Academy policies and Pennsylvania childcare regulations. Complete required documentation, trainings, and professional development. Work as a team and assist in other classrooms when needed. Maintain children's confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. Report any safety, health, behavioral, or developmental concerns to administration. Qualifications Must meet Pennsylvania childcare staff qualification requirements for the position. Previous childcare or early childhood education experience is preferred. Must complete all required clearances, health documentation, and trainings. CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain. Must be dependable, patient, professional, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Must have a genuine passion for working with young children. Physical Requirements Employees must be able to actively supervise children throughout the day, sit and play on the floor, bend, stand, walk, and safely lift or assist children as necessary.
