Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Child Care Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will support classroom activities, assist with child supervision, and help create a positive learning environment for young children. Your enthusiasm and commitment will contribute to our mission of nurturing each child's growth and ensuring their safety and happiness throughout their day. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote childhood development and learning. Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure their safety at all times. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and applying behavior management strategies. Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, progress, and any concerns about their child's well-being. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards, including pediatric first aid readiness. Follow mandated reporting laws by recognizing signs of distress or injury and reporting appropriately. Support children with special needs or disabilities by assisting with individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting activities as needed. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices. Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education is a plus. Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration. Classroom experience in early childhood settings or nannying/babysitting roles is advantageous. Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while maintaining a caring attitude.
