Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Infant Teacher to inspire and nurture our youngest learners. In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula, and foster a safe, supportive environment that promotes early childhood development. Your expertise will help lay the foundation for lifelong learning, ensuring each infant receives personalized care and educational experiences that stimulate growth across physical, cognitive, social, and emotional domains. As a leader in our early childhood education team, you will collaborate with families and staff to create a vibrant, inclusive classroom where curiosity thrives. Duties Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans tailored to infants' individual needs, incorporating curriculum development principles. Lead daily classroom activities that promote exploration, literacy education, early intervention strategies, and social-emotional growth. Manage classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and sensory play to ensure a safe and nurturing environment. Apply behavior management techniques to support positive interactions and address challenges with patience and professionalism. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any special education or early intervention requirements. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to maintain high standards of childcare and classroom management. Maintain accurate documentation related to child welfare, developmental assessments, standardized testing results (if applicable), and lesson planning records. Experience 2 years proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings, specifically with infants or toddlers. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management within a childcare or preschool environment. Knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management strategies, special education needs, and early intervention practices. Experience with Montessori or other educational philosophies such as preschool experience or private school settings is preferred. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with families, colleagues, and community partners. Familiarity with literacy education techniques, teaching physical education activities for young children, and understanding of child welfare standards. Prior experience in daycare centers or private childcare facilities is highly valued; certification in early childhood education or related fields is a plus.
