Job Description
Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children, fostering their curiosity and growth. Your enthusiasm for early childhood education will inspire little learners to explore, discover, and develop essential skills through innovative activities and compassionate guidance. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, social-emotional growth, physical development, and early math skills tailored specifically for toddlers. Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence while maintaining high standards of child welfare and safety. Manage daily classroom activities, including lesson planning, circle time, play-based learning, and structured routines to support child development milestones. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental achievements through updates and conferences. Apply effective behavior management strategies to foster positive social interactions and emotional regulation among children. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of children's developmental progress and incidents. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices in early childhood education, special education needs, and classroom management techniques. Qualifications Proven experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting, preferably with toddlers or preschool-aged students. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention strategies, and literacy education techniques. Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management practices. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or early intervention are a plus. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Ability to adhere to mandated reporting laws and maintain confidentiality regarding student information.
