A Preschool or Childcare Teacher works with young children, usually ages 3 - 5, to help them learn the social, motor and language skills needed to be ready for kindergarten and elementary school. Organizes activities and uses play or games to help children learn; develops schedules and routines for children that include exercise and rest. Works in a school or in a childcare center or program.
1. Develop and implement a curriculum that supports the cognitive, social, and emotional growth of children. 2. 1. Create and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment that is conducive to learning. 2. Organize classroom materials and maintain an orderly learning environment. 3. Ensure that health, safety, and nutritional requirements are met according to program standards. 5.
Collaboration and Professional Development:
1. Work collaboratively with Teacher Assistants, Family Advocates, and other Head Start staff to deliver comprehensive services. 2. Attend professional development sessions, workshops, and training as required. 3. Stay informed about early childhood education best practices, Head Start guidelines, and state licensing requirements. 6.
Compliance and Documentation:
1. Maintain accurate records, including attendance, health screenings, and developmental assessments. 2. Follow all Head Start regulations and guidelines, including documentation of lesson plans, assessments, and parent interactions. 3. Ensure the classroom is in compliance with all licensing and safety requirements.

Education:
• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field • Associate's degree in early childhood education or a related field and coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education with 3 years experiences in an early childhood setting.
