About Us Michelle's Little Explorers is a licensed, inclusive childcare center located in Pottsville, PA, committed to providing a safe, loving, and stimulating environment for children to grow, explore, and thrive. We believe that the first years of life are critical for development and learning, and we're looking for a caring, reliable, and passionate Infant Teacher to join our team. Position Summary The Infant Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing classroom environment for children ages 6 weeks to 12 months. This role includes supporting each infant's physical, emotional, and developmental needs, maintaining open communication with families, and working collaboratively with team members. Key Responsibilities Provide attentive and responsive care to infants, including feeding, diapering, and soothing. Maintain a consistent daily routine that includes play, rest, and developmental activities. Foster secure attachments and encourage early learning through age-appropriate interactions. Keep accurate records of daily care, observations, and developmental milestones. Communicate with parents regularly through updates and conferences. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment. Follow all state licensing regulations and center policies. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. CDA or Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. Previous experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting. Current Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification.
Clearances required:
PA State Criminal Background, Child Abuse, NSOR, and FBI Fingerprinting. Strong understanding of infant development and safety practices. Reliable, nurturing, and patient personality. Why Join Us?
