Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans tailored to preschool-aged children, incorporating literacy education, math, physical education, and child development principles. Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and positive behavior management. Use effective classroom management techniques to maintain order and promote respectful interactions among children. Conduct regular assessments of child progress through observations and standardized testing when appropriate, adjusting lesson plans to meet individual needs. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's development, milestones, and classroom activities to foster strong partnerships. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records related to child welfare and incident reports. Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse learning needs or developmental delays. Skills Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating strong classroom experience. Knowledge of childhood development instruction, curriculum development, and early childhood education best practices. Ability to manage behavior effectively while creating a positive learning atmosphere through classroom management skills. Familiarity with teaching physical education, literacy education, math concepts, and standardized testing methods suitable for young learners. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Knowledge of child welfare policies; understanding of mandated reporting laws. Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is a plus. $15,000.00 - $22,000.00 per year
