Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour Job description: Overview Join The Children's Garden of St. John's Lutheran church team as a Teacher and ignite a love for learning in young minds! We are a robust program in the cumberland county area. We are an infant through kindergarten program and a ministry of St. John's Lutheran church. Our teachers are helping to share God's love with all the children who spend time at our center. We are looking for someone for our toddler and preschool programs. Meet DHS qualifications required to lead a classroom Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities Maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment Supervise and support co-teachers, aides, and floaters within the classroom Serve as the primary point of contact for classroom and child-related concerns Maintain open and professional communication with families regarding student progress and classroom needs Requirements Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or daycare environments. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention techniques. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across various subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and team members. Experience managing classrooms with diverse learners, including those requiring special education support or behavior management strategies. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and tutoring techniques to assess student progress accurately. Prior experience in private schools or early childhood education programs is preferred.
