Provide support and guidance to children and families, fostering an encouraging environment that promotes growth, learning, and readiness for future educational success.
What You'll Do:
Support classroom instruction by assisting teachers with daily activities that build children's social, emotional, and academic skills. Foster a positive and nurturing environment where preschoolers can explore, learn, and prepare for kindergarten success. Conduct child observations and help maintain accurate developmental records and reports. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment in accordance with ECRS and Head Start standards. Collaborate with families and staff to ensure smooth transitions for children into the school system. Promote inclusion, creativity, and respect in all classroom interactions and activities.
What You'll Bring:
Education:
Minimum of a Preschool Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or Associate degree or 60 college credits in Early Childhood Education or related field.
Experience:
Prefer experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational setting.
Skills & Attributes:
Enthusiasm for early learning and child development. Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills. Attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing classroom needs.
