The Goddard School of West Goshen (located in West Chester, PA) awarded National Association Early Childhood Accreditation (NAEYC) is now hiring! Join a faculty of passionate educators at our Pennsylvania Keystone STARS 4 rated school. Full-Time Teacher and Full-Time or Part-Time Teacher Assistant/Aide opportunities available! The Goddard School serves students from six weeks to six years old - faculty classroom placement is discussed at the interview stage and based on candidate preference, experience, and currently available opportunities. As Teacher in our Early Childhood Classrooms you will be trained and have the following responsibilities: Establishes and maintains a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment. Develop and implement lesson plans according to the Goddard Flex curriculum as well as implementing the PA learning standards and using any enrichment programs set forth by the management team. Help gear the program to the needs of the individual child with concerns for their interests, handicaps, special talents, and individual style and pace of learning. Consider the individual child's relationship to their cultural and socioeconomic background. Ability to handle crises situations, especially where children are involved and be able to respond immediately to any emergency. Attending all staff meetings Participate in recommended training programs, conferences, courses, and other aspects of professional growth with a minimum of 24 hours per year. Ensure that children are engaged and always within state ratio requirements. This is a Keystone 4 STARS and NAEYC school. Certain requirements, training hours and duties will be required to be completed as being part of a STARS and NAEYC program.
Create the following:
Monthly newsletter Parent board-Seasonally Complete daily sheets to reflect naps, lunches, and diaper changes. Responsible for collaborating with and leading the Assistant Teacher in their job responsibilities.
