Job Description

Dare 2 Dream Daycare is looking for quality and reliable candidates for a fulltime lead teacher in our preschool or toddler classroom (depending on background/experience/preference). The hours would be from 8-4:30pm Monday-Friday only, (weekends off!), but we can discuss availability and scheduling during the initial interview. This is a fulltime position for a lead teacher. Must be reliable, as we operate under strict teacher-to-student ratios. We are looking for someone who has a teaching philosophy that is kind in nature, but direct. Please only apply if you genuinely LOVE children and appreciate the reward of watching them learn, grow, and flourish. Reliability is key and good supervision, maintaining a clean, healthy, and safe environment is a must. You must have at least 2 full years of verifiable experience with children, (babysitting included), or a degree in a human service field. We are willing to train a motivated individual in a lead teacher role! Please submit clearances, including the new NSOR, state police, FBI fingerprints, and child abuse and any CPR certification, in addition to your resume and 3 letters of reference, or we can help direct you on how to obtain them. We take pride in valuing our teachers and staff, creating a fun and safe working environment, and a true team atmosphere and mentorship. We strongly encourage students in the ECE program as well as retired teachers to apply. ECE students will gain help getting paid observation hours in many cases.
Job Responsibilities include:
supervision of children, general classroom cleaning, mopping, sweeping, bending and stooping down, sitting on the floor with children, standing for much of the day, lifting up to 100 pounds for brief periods, curriculum implementation and assisting with adding activities to enhance our curriculum. We are offering a $650 sign on bonus and paid holidays after 90 days in good standing. As an ECE student, we will help you complete your practicum coursework with us and gain some valuable experience and feedback from our qualified and experienced staff! We look forward to hearing from you soon! We are an EOE employer and we are willing to make reasonable and safe accommodations for a candidate. We do not discriminate against individuals based on race, religion, creed, culture, sex, orientation, or disability.
