Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Dispatcher to join our logistics team. In this vital role, you will coordinate transportation activities, manage shipment schedules, and ensure seamless communication between drivers, warehouses, and clients. Your proactive approach will help optimize delivery routes, improve operational efficiency, and uphold the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced logistics environment where your skills in supply chain management and transportation planning will drive success. Duties Coordinate and schedule pick-up and delivery operations across multiple transportation modes, including road transportation and freight services. Monitor real-time vehicle locations using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and other tracking tools to ensure timely deliveries. Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, suppliers, and customers to confirm shipment details, resolve issues, and provide updates. Oversee shipping & receiving processes, including order fulfillment, packing, and inventory management within warehouse management systems (WMS). Ensure compliance with transportation safety regulations, international trade laws, and regulatory standards while managing freight documentation. Optimize routes through demand planning and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, shipment statuses, and inventory control data using ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms. Skills Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, including inventory management, warehouse distribution, and procurement processes. Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and ERP platforms like AS400. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple shipments simultaneously. Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, data analysis, and communication purposes. Familiarity with road transportation operations, freight logistics, 3PL providers, NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and shipping logistics. Ability to interpret international trade regulations, customs documentation, and compliance standards related to logistics operations. Effective team management skills to coordinate dispatchers, drivers, warehouse personnel, and procurement teams. Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills to handle inquiries professionally. Knowledge of materials handling equipment such as forklifts is a plus for understanding warehouse operations. Analytical mindset with experience in supply chain analytics for process improvement initiatives.
