Building Floater / Support Teacher | Cranston, RI Do you enjoy connecting with children of all ages? Are you adaptable, energetic, and happiest when every day looks a little different? We are a small, privately owned, Reggio Emilia-inspired early childhood program in Cranston, Rhode Island. Our Building Floater is an essential member of our teaching team, providing consistent support throughout the school while helping classrooms run smoothly and ensuring children experience warm, responsive care throughout the day. What You'll Do As our Building Floater, you will: Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and teachers across all classrooms. Provide classroom coverage during teacher planning time, meetings, and professional development. Support classrooms during lunch breaks and rest time. Assist teachers during transitions, including outdoor play, arrival, departure, and other busy parts of the day. Step into classrooms as needed to maintain appropriate staffing ratios and support the daily flow of the program. Engage children in play, conversations, and learning experiences that reflect our respectful, child-centered philosophy. Help maintain beautiful, organized, and inviting learning environments. Collaborate with teachers to ensure continuity and consistency for children throughout the day.
