Overview We are seeking a passionate, energetic and reliable Preschool Teacher to inspire and nurture the young minds in our early childhood education program. As a vital part of our team, you will create a warm, engaging classroom environment that promotes learning, social development, and emotional well-being. You will be working side by side with another teacher, caring for a maximum of 17 children. Duties Develop and implement creative, developmentally appropriate curriculum plans that align with early childhood education standards and incorporate literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable. Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques to create a safe and respectful learning atmosphere. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share progress, address concerns, and foster strong home-school connections. Ensure adherence to mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to maintain a safe environment for all children. Conduct assessments of child development milestones and tailor instruction to meet individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Maintain accurate records of attendance, lesson plans, behavioral notes, and developmental progress for each student. Requirements Prior experience working with children in preschool or early childhood settings is essential. Knowledge of curriculum development, classroom management strategies, and behavior management techniques. Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and childhood development principles. Certification in first aid and CPR is required to ensure safety during all activities. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and support staff. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and Montessori methods if applicable. Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children is preferred. Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare is necessary for compliance and safety.
