Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, physical activity, and social skills tailored to toddlers' developmental stages Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management Engage children in hands-on activities that support early intervention strategies and foster cognitive and motor skill development Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss developmental milestones, and address any concerns Maintain accurate documentation of each child's growth, behavior, and learning activities in compliance with mandated reporting laws Manage classroom routines efficiently, including diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions to ensure safety and comfort Cleaning (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, deep cleaning) Requirements Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings or similar environments with toddlers preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles, special education needs, and early intervention techniques Strong classroom management skills combined with effective behavior management strategies Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy education tailored for young children Excellent communication skills to collaborate with parents, colleagues, and community partners effectively Certification in first aid and CPR required; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is highly valued Ability to work within mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations Experience teaching physical education or implementing Montessori methods is a plus but not required Embark on a rewarding career where your enthusiasm for teaching young children can flourish!
