We are looking for a caring, energetic, and dependable teacher to join our Older Infant Classroom ! This transitional classroom serves children who are confidently walking through approximately 2 years old , helping prepare them for a successful move into our toddler program. Every day is filled with opportunities to nurture independence, build social skills, and create a fun, safe learning environment.
What You'll Do:
Foster a loving and supportive classroom environment. Help children develop social skills such as sharing, taking turns, and making friends. Encourage independence with daily routines like sitting at tables, eating meals, and sleeping on cots. Lead engaging activities including circle time, story time, music, art, sensory play, and hands-on learning experiences. Follow age-appropriate curriculum while embracing the importance of learning through play. Communicate positively with families and work collaboratively with fellow teachers.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Must be able to safely lift and carry children of various sizes throughout the day. Must pass a BCI and DCYF background check. Experience working with infants or toddlers is preferred but not required—we value a positive attitude, reliability, and a genuine love for working with young children.
