Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Floater / 2's Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a nurturing, engaging environment for young learners. In this dynamic role, you will support classroom activities across multiple age groups, primarily focusing on two-year-olds, ensuring each child receives attentive care and developmentally appropriate instruction. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain diverse classroom experience while making a positive impact on children's early learning journeys. Your energy, compassion, and expertise will help foster a safe and stimulating space where children can thrive and explore. Duties Assist in supervising children during daily activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and engagement Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development Provide attentive caregiving by observing individual needs and responding promptly to ensure each child's well-being Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns in a professional manner Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures and mandated reporting laws when necessary Collaborate with team members to manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and consistent routines
Qualification Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Must pass Health Assessment/TB test and criminal background check Available to work Monday - Friday, 8:30 -5:3.0 or 9-6 Ability to fully engage in physical activity, including kneeling, stooping, squatting, and standing for a majority of the day.
REQUIRED 6
months previous experience working with children in a licensed or accredited day care/childcare center. A passion for working/playing with infants, toddlers and preschoolers Ability to act as mediator between children Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable Previous experience working in a DSS approved daycare

Pay:
$16.25 - $17.50 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
