Join our vibrant early childhood education team as an Lead Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young minds will inspire growth, curiosity, and development. In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children in their formative years. Your expertise will help lay the foundation for lifelong learning by implementing developmentally appropriate activities and fostering positive social interactions. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to the SC Early Learning Standards. Facilitate engaging lessons that promote literacy, numeracy, physical activity, and social-emotional skills through creative activities and hands-on learning experiences Manage classroom behavior effectively by employing positive reinforcement strategies and establishing clear routines to create a respectful learning environment Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, behavior, and developmental achievements to foster strong home-school connections Ensure safety and well-being by adhering to health protocols, maintaining a clean environment, and responding promptly to any incidents or emergencies with first aid and CPR as needed Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom management strategies, and special education accommodations to support diverse learner needs Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods when appropriate to monitor progress and inform instructional adjustments Requirements Demonstrated experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including daycare or preschool environments Knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, behavior management techniques, and classroom management best practices Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention strategies, and literacy education approaches Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners using strong interpersonal skills Certification in first aid and CPR; knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare is essential Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children is a plus Proven ability to plan engaging lessons focused on math skills, childhood development milestones, and overall child welfare Flexibility to adapt activities for children with diverse needs including those requiring individualized support or special education services Join us in shaping the future by empowering young learners through dedicated teaching and compassionate care!
