In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom where children can explore, learn, and develop essential skills. Using an inquiry-based learning style in a Reggio Emilia inspired environment, students will blossom. This part-time position (12pm-6pm) offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while working within a collaborative team dedicated to excellence in preschool education. We are a NAEYC-accredited, ABC Quality A+ center, and are looking to continue providing a high quality experience to our families. Duties Create a nurturing classroom environment that supports assigned age-range children (infants through 6-year old). Support classroom teachers for coverage during lunch/breaks. Engage students during aftercare program with educationally appropriate activities. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies to ensure a respectful learning space. Incorporate Reggio Emilia educational philosophies into lesson planning to enhance learning experiences. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain detailed records of student progress, attendance, and incidents. Requirements 1+ year experience working with children in preschool or childcare center Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and engage parents in their child's educational journey Certification in first aid and CPR is required Knowledge of Judaism a plus, but not required
