We are a Christian preschool looking for a qualified full-time teacher. The teacher is responsible for developing a cohesive teaching team and helping manage the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. Teachers must understand children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. The teacher must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults in order to meet the needs of the children, effectively work with other teachers, and resolve parental concerns. Duties Maintain a safe environment at all times Demonstrate strong classroom management skills Foster a nurturing classroom environment that promotes academic and social-emotional growth Help assess the children's development throughout the school year Familiarize oneself with DSS regulations and company policies Establish positive working relationships with other staff members Communicate effectively with parents of children Qualifications Must be 18 years old. Must have a minimum of a high school diploma. ECD101 is preferred. Must meet state licensing requirements, including 6 months experience in a licensed child care center.
