Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, social skills, and physical development tailored to toddlers' needs. Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management. Engage children in hands-on activities that support childhood development milestones and foster curiosity. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, behaviors, and classroom experiences to build strong partnerships. Maintain accurate records of child development progress, attendance, and behavior reports in compliance with mandated reporting laws. Ensure safety by adhering to all health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR protocols. Collaborate with colleagues to plan classroom activities and participate in ongoing professional development related to early intervention, special education, and preschool teaching strategies. Experience Prior experience working with young children in a childcare or preschool setting is essential. Demonstrated knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices. Experience developing curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and behavioral management techniques. Familiarity with classroom management strategies to foster positive behavior and support children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and teamwork within an educational environment. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in childhood development or special education are preferred.
