Overview We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Assistant Teacher to support our two- and four-year-old classrooms. In this vital role, you will assist lead teachers in creating engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help lay a strong foundation for our young learners' future success. Duties Support classroom activities by implementing curriculum development plans tailored to early childhood education standards Assist with child care routines including diapering, feeding, and nap times for toddlers and preschoolers Engage children in literacy education, math activities, physical education, and creative play to foster holistic development Maintain positive behavior management strategies to promote a respectful and safe classroom environment Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and needs Help with classroom management by organizing materials, setting up learning stations, and ensuring a clean, safe space Follow mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to ensure compliance and safety at all times Qualifications Experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and families Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and standardized testing methods Ability to manage classroom behavior and implement classroom management techniques Passion for early childhood education with a focus on toddler care and preschool teaching Knowledge of special education needs, behavior management strategies, and child welfare policies is a plus Join us at Brookwood Preschool Academy where your enthusiasm fuels young minds!
