Pay Range:
$16-$18 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Position Overview:
The Learning Experience Tega Cay is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Toddler Teacher to join our team. This role works with children ages 12 months to 24 months , providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can grow, explore, and reach developmental milestones. The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, and passionate about early childhood care and education.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide attentive and nurturing care for infants and toddlers in a safe classroom environment. Support children's early developmental milestones through age-appropriate activities and interactions. Encourage sensory exploration, language development, and early social skills through play and guided activities. Maintain accurate daily reports including feedings, diaper changes, naps, and classroom activities. Ensure proper sanitation, including bottle preparation, diapering procedures, and classroom cleaning. Maintain constant supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of all children. Communicate professionally with families regarding their child's daily care and development. Follow all South Carolina DSS childcare licensing regulations and center policies. Work collaboratively with other teachers and management to maintain classroom ratios and support coverage as needed. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience working with infants, toddlers, or in a childcare setting preferred. Ability to meet South Carolina DSS childcare licensing requirements . CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and actively engage with young children throughout the day.
