Job Overview Are you looking to make an impact with future generations? Christ Lutheran Church (CLC) Daycare is seeking dedicated and passionate Childcare Teachers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have knowledge in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young learners. Team members will be responsible for implementing engaging curriculum activities, managing classroom dynamics, and fostering positive relationships with students and their families. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that supports childhood development. Manage classroom behavior effectively while promoting a positive learning environment. Foster communication with parents regarding their child's progress and well-being. Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment conducive to learning. Collaborate with other teachers to enhance the educational experience for all students. Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices in childcare and education. Requirements Experience in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred. Certification in CPR/First Aid is preferred but not mandatory at the time of hiring. It must be completed within 90 days of hiring. Ability to pass a State and Federal Background Check prior to the first day of employment. Passion and patience for working with children. Willingness to complete annual training and professional development. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning is highly desirable. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Ability to lift 50 pounds of less and move from the floor to standing easily.
