Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that support early childhood development, including literacy education, math skills, and social-emotional learning. Manage classroom activities with effective behavior management strategies to promote respectful interactions and a safe learning environment. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns to build strong partnerships. Utilize classroom management techniques to organize materials, maintain cleanliness, and ensure smooth daily routines. Incorporate special education principles and early intervention strategies to support children with diverse learning needs. Conduct assessments aligned with standardized testing standards to monitor developmental progress and inform instruction. Follow mandated reporting laws diligently to ensure child safety and welfare at all times. Engage in ongoing lesson planning that integrates Montessori methods or other educational frameworks to enhance learning experiences. Requirements Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, including preschool or toddler care environments. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management, classroom management, and child welfare practices. Familiarity with curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, and standardized testing procedures. Experience working with children who have special needs or require early intervention services is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and teamwork within the educational community. Certification in first aid and CPR is required to ensure safety during all activities. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child abuse prevention is essential. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate Montessori techniques or other early childhood education methodologies.
