Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Daycare Floater, where your energetic spirit and flexible approach will make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children. In this vital role, you will provide consistent, nurturing care across multiple classrooms, ensuring a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for children of various ages. Your adaptability and enthusiasm will support our dedicated teaching staff and help maintain smooth daily operations within our dynamic daycare setting. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain diverse classroom experience while fostering children's growth and happiness. Duties Assist lead teachers by supervising children during activities, playtime, meals, and nap times to ensure safety and engagement. Step into different classrooms as needed to provide coverage during staff breaks or absences, maintaining continuity of care. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing age-appropriate activities aligned with developmental goals. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's day, progress, and any concerns to foster strong relationships. Follow all health and safety protocols, including administering first aid or pediatric first aid when necessary and adhering to mandated reporting laws. Help prepare classroom materials, organize supplies, and maintain a clean, welcoming environment conducive to learning and play. Collaborate with team members to plan educational activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and emotional well-being. Skills Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings. Knowledge of child development instruction principles and classroom management techniques. First aid and CPR certification (including pediatric first aid) to ensure safety in emergency situations. Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and teamwork with staff members. Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Ability to adapt quickly across different age groups such as infants, toddlers, and preschoolers while maintaining a nurturing approach. Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and well-being.
