Teaching Assistant / Childcare Teacher Nolan's Nest Nursery-PreK | Jackson, TN Nolan's Nest Nursery-PreK is seeking dependable, energetic, nurturing Teaching Assistants to join our growing childcare team. We are a structured, loving, faith-rooted early learning environment serving children from infancy through Pre-K. We are looking for individuals who genuinely enjoy working with young children and understand that childcare requires active supervision, engagement, patience, teamwork, and responsibility .

Responsibilities include:

Actively supervising and engaging with children at all times Assisting with age-appropriate learning activities, reading, play, and classroom routines Diapering and assisting with toileting as needed Assisting with meals, snacks, nap time, and transitions Cleaning and sanitizing classrooms and childcare areas Maintaining a safe, organized, and nurturing classroom Communicating professionally with coworkers, administration, children, and families Following Nolan's Nest policies and all applicable TDHS childcare requirements Completing required documentation and assigned training We're looking for someone who is: Reliable and punctual Patient, caring, and energetic Comfortable working with infants and toddlers Able to get on the floor, lift children when necessary, and remain active throughout the shift Willing to change diapers and assist with all aspects of childcare Able to follow directions and work as part of a team Professional in appearance and communication Able to maintain a cell-phone-free classroom environment while supervising children Previous childcare experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate. Applicants must be willing and able to complete all background checks, training, health documentation, and other requirements for employment in a licensed Tennessee childcare facility.

Starting at $11.00/hour
