Equally Created is seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team. As an Educator, you will play a key role in preparing children for a successful transition to kindergarten by fostering academic, social-emotional, and independence skills in a nurturing classroom environment. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality early childhood education using a child-led, HighScope-inspired, and Conscious Discipline approach for children ages 4-5.

Key Responsibilities:

Kindergarten Readiness:

Plan intentional learning experiences that build early literacy, math, problem-solving, independence, and social-emotional skills to prepare children for kindergarten.

Curriculum Implementation:

Effectively plan and implement a child-led, developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports kindergarten readiness and whole-child development.

Classroom Management:

Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that encourages exploration, independence, and self-regulation through Conscious Discipline.

Student Engagement:

Engage children in hands-on, play-based learning experiences that promote cognitive, language, social, and emotional growth.

Individualized Instruction:

Observe and assess each child's development and adapt instruction to support individual learning needs.

Parent Communication:

Maintain positive communication with families by sharing progress and partnering to support each child's development and kindergarten readiness.

Team Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with teachers, assistants, and leadership to create a supportive and consistent learning environment.

Professional Development:

Participate in ongoing professional development to strengthen teaching practices and stay current with early childhood best practices.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred, but not required.

Experience:

Prior experience working with young children in an educational setting is required.

Curriculum Knowledge:

Familiarity with the HighScope and Conscious Discipline curriculum is a strong advantage.

Skills:

Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment.

Certifications:

CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
