The YMCA Preschool is searching for a nurturing toddler teacher to ensure that the basic and educational needs of our kids are met. (2 to 3 yrs old). To be successful as a toddler teacher, you should be creative and energetic. You should also be an excellent role model for our children. Your duties will be as follows but not limited to: delivering classroom activities/lessons that are prepared for you, ensure the classroom remains safe and conducive to learning at all times, encourage self- expression through understanding, flexibility and behavioral reinforcement, tending to kids' basic needs which does include potty training, mediating between kids, read stories, oversee kids meal times cleaning spaces before and after eating, monitor kids playtime and physical activities, etc. The requirements for this job are: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR/First Aid certified or be willing to obtain that certification upon being hired, Fingerprints and background check required, Physically fit and be able to lift up to 50 lbs., Warm, approachable disposition, and be dependable as well as flexible.
