Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Director to lead our Child Care Center with enthusiasm and strategic vision. In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with educational and safety standards, and foster a nurturing environment that promotes childhood development and learning. Your leadership will inspire staff, support families, and uphold the center's mission to provide high-quality early childhood education. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of young learners while managing a vibrant team dedicated to excellence in education and care. Duties Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement curriculum plans that support early childhood development, including age-appropriate activities and educational strategies. Lead staff recruitment, supervision, and professional development initiatives to maintain a motivated, skilled, and compliant team of educators and support personnel. Manage the center's budget, including planning, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring financial sustainability through effective resource allocation. Oversee administrative functions such as enrollment processes, compliance with licensing regulations, and maintaining accurate records of child progress and staff credentials. Facilitate regular faculty evaluations and provide constructive feedback to promote instructional excellence and continuous improvement. Develop and execute strategic plans for program growth, community engagement, and fundraising efforts to support center initiatives. Ensure adherence to all legal requirements related to childhood education, special education law, health & safety standards, and educational regulations at local, state, and federal levels. Qualifications Proven experience in school administrative leadership or management within early childhood or K-12 education settings. Extensive knowledge of curriculum development, instructional leadership in education, and childhood development principles. Strong background in managing budgets as an executive education administrator with experience in managing financial resources effectively. Demonstrated success in supervising school staff, facilitating professional development, and evaluating faculty performance. Familiarity with educational compliance laws including special education law and early childhood education regulations. Excellent communication skills for public speaking, team leadership, and working collaboratively with families and community partners. Prior classroom experience in early childhood or K-12 settings is highly desirable to inform leadership decisions. Pay:
$12.00 - $14.00 per hour
