Duties Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood development, literacy education, and social-emotional skills. Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence among infants. Monitor and document each child's developmental milestones using standardized testing methods and progress reports. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share updates on their child's progress, behavior, and well-being. Manage classroom routines efficiently, including diapering, feeding, nap times, and physical activities such as early childhood physical education. Apply behavior management strategies to support positive social interactions and emotional regulation among infants. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of incidents or concerns related to child welfare. Requirements Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, particularly with infants and toddlers. Knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and preschool teaching methodologies. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in child welfare and safety protocols is preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and administrators. Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention strategies, and classroom management techniques. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, and physical activity tailored for young children.
