Our Providence center features spacious classrooms, engaging outdoor play areas, and a nurturing environment that fosters growth, curiosity, and social-emotional development. Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and passionate Teacher specializing in childcare for toddlers to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and educational atmosphere tailored to the unique needs of young children. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire early learning, support child development milestones, and foster positive relationships with children and their families. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional growth. Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques to create a respectful and nurturing environment. Engage children in activities that support their developmental stages, including early intervention strategies when necessary. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones. Ensure safety by adhering to mandated reporting laws, maintaining classroom cleanliness, and following health protocols such as first aid and CPR procedures. Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum development initiatives that enhance early childhood education standards. Maintain detailed records of children's progress and participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development instruction. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in a childcare or preschool setting, especially with toddlers. Knowledge of child development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. Certification in first aid and CPR required; additional certifications in special education or early intervention are a plus. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and childhood welfare policies. Experience with curriculum development, literacy education, standardized testing for young children, and physical education activities preferred. A passion for early childhood education combined with excellent organizational skills to manage lesson planning and classroom routines effectively.
