Responsibilities Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in children. Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure their safety and well-being. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, behavior, and any concerns. Follow all mandated reporting laws and health protocols to ensure compliance with safety standards. Incorporate child development instruction techniques to support individual learning needs, including those with special education requirements or disabilities. Administer first aid or pediatric first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies or behavioral issues with effective management strategies. Skills Proven experience working with children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or children with special needs. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Certification in first aid and CPR (Child and Pediatric First Aid preferred). Experience managing classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques. Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with energy, patience, and enthusiasm. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and safety regulations related to childcare environments.
