Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and staff to maintain high standards of classroom management and instructional quality. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare while maintaining accurate documentation of incidents or concerns. Incorporate specialized areas such as special education or early intervention strategies to support diverse learning needs. Conduct ongoing assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor developmental progress and inform instructional adjustments. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health protocols including first aid and CPR certification requirements. Collaborate with team members to plan lessons that integrate physical education, literacy education, math activities, and childhood development principles. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as preschools or private schools. Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques. Knowledge of childhood development stages, special education needs, early intervention strategies, and child welfare practices. Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration. Valid certifications in first aid and CPR; familiarity with mandated reporting laws is essential. Demonstrated ability to lead a classroom effectively while fostering a nurturing environment for young learners. Experience teaching physical education or implementing literacy education programs is preferred. Ability to adapt teaching methods for children with diverse learning needs including those requiring special education services.
