Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Daycare Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a vibrant early childhood education environment. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans, fostering a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere, and building strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. Your leadership will ensure that each child's developmental needs are met through innovative teaching strategies, effective classroom management, and compassionate child welfare practices. Responsibilities Follow the curriculum and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that promote literacy, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional growth tailored to various age groups including toddlers and preschoolers. Lead daily classroom activities with enthusiasm, ensuring a positive, engaging environment that encourages curiosity and learning. Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques, fostering respect, cooperation, and independence among children. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to promote transparency and collaborative support. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and staff to maintain high standards of classroom management and instructional quality. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare while maintaining accurate documentation of incidents or concerns. Incorporate specialized areas such as special education or early intervention strategies to support diverse learning needs. Conduct ongoing assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor developmental progress and inform instructional adjustments. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health protocols including first aid and CPR certification requirements. Collaborate with team members to plan lessons that integrate physical education, literacy education, math activities, and childhood development principles. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as preschools or private schools. Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques. Knowledge of childhood development stages, special education needs, early intervention strategies, and child welfare practices. Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration. Valid certifications in first aid and CPR; familiarity with mandated reporting laws is essential. Demonstrated ability to lead a classroom effectively while fostering a nurturing environment for young learners. Experience teaching physical education or implementing literacy education programs is preferred. Ability to adapt teaching methods for children with diverse learning needs including those requiring special education services.
