Job Description

Job Overview The Learning Center at Covenant Church is a faith-based childcare center dedicated to providing a caring environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Infant Teacher to join our amazing team! In this role, you will provide loving, responsive care for infants (6 weeks to 12 months) while creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment. We are looking for someone who is passionate about early childhood education, enjoys building meaningful relationships with children and families, and thrives in a collaborative team environment. Create a warm, nurturing environment that promotes healthy emotional, cognitive, physical, and social development. Follow individualized feeding, sleeping, and care schedules based on each infant's needs. Complete diaper changes, bottle feedings, and other daily care routines while maintaining proper sanitation procedures. Engage infants in age-appropriate activities that encourage sensory exploration, language development, tummy time, fine and gross motor skills, and early social interaction. Accurately log infants' daily activities including but not limited to: feedings, diaper changes, naps, and moods. Build strong, positive relationships with families by communicating daily about each child's care, milestones, and development. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom, including toys, cribs, changing areas, and learning materials. Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and staff to create a positive team environment. Follow all state licensing regulations, safe sleep guidelines, and center policies and procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well in a team environment Excellent organizational and time-management skills Passion for working with young children and supporting their development CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Education High school diploma or equivalent required Experience Minimum of 1 year of licensed childcare experience preferred Experience working with infants is preferred
